X < Element

The X property function gets or sets the x position of an element. Setting the x position will have different effects depending on the position style given to the element. A value of “absolute” indicates the X property sets the x position relative to the entire page. A value of “relative” indicates the x position is relative to its current position in the page. A value of “fixed” indicates an x position relative to the viewing screen. And finally, no value or a value of “static” indicates the x position will have no effect. The value returned will be whatever is set in the style unless there is no position given to the  element, then the calculated x position is relative to the entire page. The Y property function follows the exact same rules.
